Mission Statement
The Human Resources Department strives to provide support and service regarding employee relations, staffing and classifications, compensation and benefits, as well as health and wellness.
To ensure compliance with state and federal laws, the HR Department establishes, maintains and enforces personnel policies.
Welcome to the City of Mont Belvieu!
You can apply online by clicking on the “Apply Online” link under the Tools section on the right side of any page. If this is the first time you are applying using the online job application, you will need to create an account and select a Username and Password. After your account has been established, you can build an application by clicking on “Create Application” link. This application can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.
The online application allows for your resume or other documentation to be attached; however, it is important that your online application include all relevant education and experience. The application process will allow you to begin and finish at a later date. After completion of each application process step, click the "Confirm Application" button. Once this is completed, the final step is to "Certify" and "Submit" your application by clicking on the "Accept" button confirming the information submitted in the application. EMPLOYMENT PROCEDURES |
Employment Procedures The City will only accept applications for jobs currently open. The City cannot accept unsolicited resumes or applications for a position that is not posted. 1. Any person interested in employment with the City of Mont Belvieu must complete an application from the City of Mont Belvieu. 2. Standard applications are available online or at the Human Resources Department located at City Hall, 11607 Eagle Drive, Mont Belvieu, TX 77523. 3. Applications can be turned in at City Hall or emailed to Human Resources 4. Applications of qualified applicants are transmitted to the departments for selection. 5. Applicant is subject to verification of references, pre-employment drug screen, background check and pre-employment physical. 6. All certifications will be verified. |

RetirementThe City offers pension through the Texas Municipal Retirement System. The City contributes 16% on the employee's behalf. In addition to the pension, the City offers ICMA-RC. While participation is voluntary, the City will match 1%. employee assistance programThe City of Mont Belvieu offers an Employee Assistance program available through UTEAP for you and your family members. Through the EAP, you can access free, convenient, and confidential services with a licensed mental health professional. Short-term counseling can help with a wide range of issues, including grief, anxiety, work stress, or family issues. Eagle pointe wellness programThe City provides all full-time and part-time City employees free membership (employee only) to Eagle Pointe Recreation Center with family membership and Golf memberships at a discounted rate.
