Yes, we allow the citizens of Mont Belvieu to surrender their animals if they are no longer capable of caring for the animal. There is a $25.00 owner surrender fee for every animal surrendered and we require proof of residency (ie: water bill, electric bill, etc). We only allow owner surrenders if there is space available at our facility, so please contact us ahead of time to verify we are accepting owner surrenders at that time.
Can I Turn in a Stray?
Yes, strays are accepted at our facility that were found inside the city limits of Mont Belvieu. We do ask that you do not pick up the stray yourself as you never know the medical condition or mental state of the animal. Contact the Mont Belvieu Police Department so that an Animal Services Officer can pick the animal up or have it brought to the owner. The only time an animal should be picked up by a citizen is if there is a medical emergency with the animal or there is a clear danger that the animal will be struck by traffic.
