What to Expect

Cold air therapy in the Cryosense unit is a dry air environment, and due to the lack of moisture (humidity), it is not painful like an ice bath or immersion therapy. During the session, your skin temperature will decrease between 30-45 degrees over 2 to 3 minutes inside the chamber.

After check-in, you'll have to complete our Physical Questionnaire & Waiver which is important in identifying any health conditions which may preclude you from using our cryotherapy unit.

Your first whole body cryotherapy appointment can take anywhere between 15-20 minutes so that we can fully educate you on the process, the benefits, safety instructions, and answer any questions you may have. After the first appointment, sessions typically take 5-7 minutes.

We will provide you with a robe and all protective gear including socks, slippers, and gloves. This allows for >90% of your skin to be exposed to hyper-cool air.

Once you are in your protective clothing, you will enter the cryosauna and begin your session. Your privacy is very important to us, so you will remove your robe once you are inside the chamber and the door is shut. Only your head and neck are visible throughout the entire process.

An attendant will be monitoring you every moment throughout your session. People ask the most if the process is painful at all. No, it’s cold, but not painful.

After the treatment ends, while you are still in the chamber, your robe will be given back to you. The cryosauna platform will automatically lower and you can then exit the chamber.
