Planning and Zoning

The city promotes orderly growth and land use while protecting existing property owners by grouping together compatible development — a practice known as zoning.

Before land is developed in the city, it must be zoned and platted.

You can apply by using My Government Online, The Zoning Commission reviews all zoning requests, and City Council approves or denies the request after receiving recommendations.

The City of Mont Belvieu is a rapidly-growing, dynamic community with great opportunities for businesses of all kinds. City staff is eager to help you to succeed and grow your business.
